Asset Flag Restrictions

Some Stellar assets are restricted by default from participating in Aquarius market voting and rewards.
These assets have something attached to them called "Flags," which are ways for asset issuers to restrict their assets' use. Flags allow asset issuers to block access to holding, sending, and trading an asset, and in the case of "clawback," the issuer can take back the tokens altogether.
Assets with any combination of the AUTH_REQUIRED, AUTH_REVOCABLE, or AUTH_CLAWBACK_ENABLED flags are banned as decided by the community via the Aquarius governance process. The community decided this under Proposal 85.
AUTH_REQUIRED
Requires the issuing account to give other accounts permission before they can hold the issuing accountโs asset.
AUTH_REVOCABLE
Allows the issuing account to revoke the trustline of an asset that is held by other accounts, restricting access to the asset
AUTH_CLAWBACK_ENABLED
Allows the issuing account to clawback tokens without the user's consent in case of violation of service terms.
Certain Stellar assets legitimately use these flags to control the supply for legal and compliance reasons. As such, there is a way for these assets to be included within the Aquarius market voting and reward system.
The process is simple to follow: 1) Head to https://aqua.network/governance
2) Create a governance discussion detailing the asset and why the flag restriction should be lifted. Here is how the layout should look: Title Lift Flag Restrictions for "insert asset" Content Explain the asset in detail, including: - Ticker - Asset issuer account - Website for the asset so voters can find out more - Explain what the asset does and why the restrictions deserve to be removed
3) Submit for discussion by the community, and after one week of discussion, re-submit the proposal for a vote by the community.
That's it! If the community votes in favor of lifting the Flag restriction, the Aquarius team will remove the restriction from the asset.
