# How will the airdrop be distributed and for how long?

Airdrop #2 will be distributed using claimable balances on the Stellar network. Once distribution starts, it will continue for three years (36 months).

Below are the main things you need to know:

🔶 Payments for all airdrop rewards will be locked in claimable balances before Feb 15, 2022.

🔶 Each reward will be split into 36 payments and will unlock monthly over 3 years.

🔶 The first payment will be available to claim in March.

🔶 Every wallet will receive a randomized day of the month to claim. This day wille the same for each month.

🔶 Each payment needs to be claimed within 3 months.

🔶 All unclaimed funds will be sent to the Aquarius DAO treasury wallet.

Claimable balances are a way for entities to operate a payment in two parts, a sending portion, and a receiving portion. This means somebody can send you a payment of an asset you don't hold a trustline for, and you can decide if you would like to accept it or not.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.aqua.network/airdrops/airdrop-2/how-will-the-airdrop-be-distributed-and-for-how-long.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
