Aquarius AMMs allow anyone to create pools using tokens found on the Stellar blockchain or Soroban smart contract layer. Currently, two types of pools can be created: Constant Product and Stable Swap.
Pools cost 1 Million AQUA to create.
This pool type allows for the creation of a simple AMM based on Uniswap v2. This is also similar to the native AMM pool type found on Stellar.
The main difference with Aquarius Constant Product AMMs is the ability to choose different fees to be collected by liquidity providers on trades. Currently, either 0.1%, 0.3% or 1% fees can be allocated to pools.
This pool type allows for the creation of pools for assets of the same value. Stable swap pools are designed for assets with a 1:1 price ratio to each other (e.g., ETH/yETH, USDC/yUSDC). We don't recommend creating stable pools for volatile assets.
Up to three assets can be placed in a Stable Swap pool, with four assets coming soon!
With stable swap pools, fees are more customizable, with creators able to choose between 0.1% and 1%.
To create a pool, follow the steps below:
1) Select the pool type you wish to create.
2) Select the assets you wish to include in the new pool. Constant product pools can have two assets, while stable swap pools can have up to three (four in a future update).
3) Select the fee you would like users to pay when they swap assets using this pool. You will also need to acknowledge that it will cost you, as the creator, 1,000,000 AQUA to deploy this pool in Aquarius.
4) Press "Create Pool" to pay the 1 Million AQUA fee and create the pool!
